Today, Ollie turned into a bed bug! He went to wake-up Nana and got side tracked. Instead of making her "get up!", Oliver arranged the pillows, grabbed the remote, got under the "tertul" quilt (made by my mom's Aunt Frances) and insisted on watching "Nickey" He loves to point out the pictures on Nana's dresser and say Mama and "Tarah". When Nana had to get out of bed to get ready for her PT appointment Ollie was not happy. "Tay heear. No go TT!"
When Daddy went to take him outside, Oliver insisted on the boots again. He loves them...and the new hat his Daddy picked out for him. He is reppin' the D and usually puts it on by himself...almost always backward. They played golf and Taylor caught a great video of one of Ollie's more impressive shots. Don't worry, they are whiffle balls....
While we were eating dinner, Ollie finished before us and wanted to go outside. I told him I would go with him as soon as I was done. He went and got his shoes and assistance with putting them on. Then, Ollie waited patiently for almost a minute before he made a break for it. We all knew he did it, but he was so quiet, we barely heard the door open and close. He "nunk" outside to play basketball. (at some point he figured out that not every ball is a baseball and then learned how to say basketball perfectly clearly). He played hard for a bit, smacked his head on the table at some point (he was fine, a little bump and bruise the next day), and wore himself out. He got a laundry room "bath" and nearly fell asleep sitting on my lap while we were playing with the zoo.
No matter how tired he is, Ollie insists on at least 3 books, several songs, prayers, rocking and then night-night's. Night-night's consist of touching the alligator, cheetah, blue bird and lion on his wall as well as kissing the giant pictures of Papa Ernie, Papa Randy and Nana. (we were waiting on Mimi to pick the picture she wanted blown up "before"- now she has picked it an I'm the one dropping the ball...sorry MIMI!! we love you!) However, Oliver is starting to be bothered by his "missing" Mimi. We say night-night and blow her a kiss, but he would really like to have her face on his wall, too. That is my next project after I get caught up...
