Dr Pranzentelli and Liz Respond

June 17th

Today started out as a normal day...I asked my daddy really nicely (I said pwease three times in a row) for a ride in his car.  I usually tell him which direction I want to turn and he usually listens!  We played baseball in the basement when we got home.  I'm pretty sure they are going to make me "take it outside" or something soon....I guess I hit the ball pretty hard and the glass might break or something.  I was watching my daddy throw a big exercise ball up in the air and got an idea.  I went and got my red exercise ball and threw it against the ceiling.  It really made me laugh when it bounced back down on me!

I'm pretty sure daddy is on to me now....he thinks he caught me trying to hide his hat again.  I played it off pretty well, but I'll have to take a break with that joke for awhile.  When mama got home, we play basketball outside.  Mommy and Daddy let me take all the shots while they cheered me on and sat around talking.

I'm not sure what all the fuss was about, but everyone....Nana, Papa Randy, Mimi, Papa Ernie, Mama and Dad were pretty excited about some e-mail from Dr P and Liz.  (All I remember is that Liz is the chick who tried to make me do all these tricks when I really wasn't feeling very well the first time we went to Illinois)  Here is the e-mail they were so excited about:

to me

Hi Katie,

Thanks for those video clips, just got a chance to review.

Oliver looks very good, balance is nice and stable. Walking, running, sits to stand, well coordinated -- no opso or myoclonus, so great to see! I'm also hearing some clear words.

My thanks to your cue card holder--very steady. ;-)

Keep us posted with his progress.

Thank you.

Seems to me like I've been showing them every day how awesome I am feeling?!  I guess they just liked hearing it from someone else.

Sidenotes:

Daddy would like me to tell you that Mommy did not send in the video clip where they were trying to startle me (if you recall, the lightest touch on my arm would send me jumping through the roof when my symptoms first started).  She threw a box of Duplos in my direction. I was not injured, but I was confused.  I decided that "Mama need a NAP".

Mommy would like me to tell you that I was never in danger...the video didn't accurately portray the safe distance between me and the blocks- also, throw is a little dramatic.  And, that mama will gladly take a nap at Oliver's request anytime!

Cowboy Monkey!  I climbed up here by myself!

Yup!  Found Daddy's hat again.

Quick! Look there!
(I was trying to hide it while Daddy looked away)

Darn, guess I'll have to wait to hide it...Daddy's on to me!
