Father's Day

June 15th

Happy Daddy's Day!

Ollie woke up very happy today (as is normal) but VERY early.  We decided to be super nice and get out of bed asap and let Daddy sleep in peace.  Only problem was, he didn't have an alarm set and we lost track of time....Tay was bummed because he missed church!  Oops...Father's Day Fail!  

We did lose track of time for a good reason....we were making cards for Daddy and Papa Randy.  We sent Papa Ernie the picture on the left since he wasn't home to receive a card.    

 

Aunt Debbie brought Papa Tookie over for a visit and Papa Randy made breakfast.  Aunt Debbie is going to be volunteering at Devos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids soon, so she wanted to get a quick fix while her exposure to children and germs is at nearly zero (and before she gets her vaccinations).  She played Playdoh with Ollie and had him laughing so hard!  Then Ollie ran her into the living room to show off his trampoline skills.  Aunt Deb's grandson, Judah, is about 6 months younger than Ollie, so she asked Ollie to show off the zoo he loves to play with to see if Judah might like it.  Only, Ollie decided that he didn't want her to see it.  He wouldn't let her make any of the noises at all. 

Earlier in the morning, Taylor had been looking for a particular hat he wears often.  He looked in all the usual places and asked Oliver if he knew where it was.  Ollie pointed upstairs, but the hat was not found.....until later.  Ollie went over to the little corner where we keep blankets and pillows, dug around a bit, and brought it out, "dare it is!".  Little stinker knew the whole time.  Since we had kicked Taylor out to go golfing with Noah, I sent him a picture of Oliver with his hat...FOUND IT!  

We had a BBQ lunch and a swim in the Lamberts pool.  Ollie was trying to dunk me and thought it was so funny!  He loves to jump in and is getting a little better at "swimming" on his own (meaning not clutching around my neck)  We came home at to nap at 3:30 and slept until 7 when he woke up alone in mama's bed.  When he realized it he yelled, "Hello?  Hello? Hello?" until I went in and got him.  Funny thing is, I had just left to see if Tay thought I should wake him or leave him sleeping!  Best part of my day was seeing his face when I went in there, full of JOY!  We woke up, ate and asked to go back to bed at 8 (this time in his own bed:)
