Mimi and Papa's day two

June 2nd, 2013

This morning, when I was bored with sleeping, I snuck out of bed and explored the room we sleep in- Uncle EE's old room.  Much to my delight, I found an acoustic guitar!  My mama woke up when I started serenading her- she took a few quick pictures before we left so daddy could have a rare sleep-in.  We went down stairs and found Papa Ernie was still asleep!!  (He is usually up and waiting for me, but I think he and Mimi played cards pretty late at night with Mama and Daddy.)  I wasn't up for long before he came out to play with me.  Mimi made me breakfast and Papa put our little craft table in the middle of the room so I could watch "Nickey" while I ate.  I made sure that everyone sat with me.  We had so much fun!  I swam with Daddy and finally got Papa to swim too!  He had to leave on an airplane this morning, so he could only play for a little while, but I was glad to have him for all the minutes.  I tried to get him to "tay heear", but he had to go.

We all got out and dried off and Papa left.  Mimi watched me so Daddy and Mama could run some errands.  When they got back, we were outside playing with sidewalk chalk. We had just gotten out there and I wasn't really sure what Mimi had in mind.  She gave me a towel to lay on, but I thought I needed to "meem up" as I went.  Then my mama showed me how to get messy with it.  Oh my!  That was so fun and then nothing was off limits.  I drew on the house, the bench, the sidewalk, driveway, and garden art.  So fun!

Mimi thinks of everything when I visit.  She spent hours at the store before hand making sure I had options for snacks while I was there.  One of my favorite things was the individually wrapped "candies"!  (mom's note: they were prunes- Mimi acted like they were a big deal and had to hide them from me, Ollie GLEEFULLY partook in this deception:)  In fact, on the way home from Mimi's that night he sang "I yove you kindee, oh yes i dew, i yove you kindee, its true, ohhh kindee, i yove you!" 

Meanwhile, Daddy went to play golf with his friend Billy and I hung out with Mimi and Mommy some more.  I convinced Mimi to go swimming...she thought I wanted her to give me a bath, but I took her in there and pointed at my bathing suit.  I knew that if I said "pwease", I'd have a good shot of getting her to comply.  In fact, she did!!  We dove for treasure and shot off the Jake and Captain Hook cannons.  Then, I got a little preoccupied and forgot to tell Mommy I needed to go potty.  I left a few Baby Ruth's in the pool.  Mimi just scooped them out and kept playing.  Mama cleaned them up.  It must have been funny because Mimi was laughing so hard, if she hadn't already been in water, she might have wet her pants.  I thought it was "tunny" too.  (my mommy decided to leave the pictures and video out for this episode...use your imagination:)

What a great weekend at Mimi and Papa's house.  It is only more fun when my cousins and auntie Ashley can play with me.  This was my first sleepover since everything changed.  It was a little difficult on my system to adjust, but a few days later I was fine again.
